Orson Bright

Cheerful, biddable, and slightly too fond of the sound of his own voice.

In the house with us

Orson is the easiest dog here to train and the hardest to tire out. He learns something in about four repetitions and then offers it constantly, which is delightful in a working home and exhausting in a quiet one.

His puppies tend to be quick, busy and very people focused. That suits a household with time and a plan. It does not suit somebody who wants a dog that will lie down for eight hours, and matching that correctly is most of what we do before a puppy is reserved.

Why this dog is bred from

Every dog here has been seen by our veterinarian, and we will tell you what was found on any of them if you ask. There are no registry papers, no hip, elbow, eye or cardiac scoring and no genetic panel behind any of them, and we will not imply otherwise. A claim we cannot back is worth less to you than no claim at all.

What decides it is temperament. A dog that is anxious, sharp or unhappy around people is not bred from here, whatever else is true about him, because a litter learns how to be a dog from its mother long before it learns anything from us.
