Barrow of Stonewell
Slow moving, unbothered by anything, and asleep by eight every evening.

- In the house with us
Barrow is the oldest dog here and the one people always want to take home instead of a puppy. He is large, deep coated and almost impossible to unsettle. Fireworks, builders, a houseful of visitors: none of it registers.
He is retired from breeding now and lives here as he always has. We keep his page up because his puppies are still out there and their families like to see him, and because a breeder who quietly deletes the dogs that stop earning is telling you something.

Why this dog is bred from
Every dog here has been seen by our veterinarian, and we will tell you what was found on any of them if you ask. There are no registry papers, no hip, elbow, eye or cardiac scoring and no genetic panel behind any of them, and we will not imply otherwise. A claim we cannot back is worth less to you than no claim at all.
What decides it is temperament. A dog that is anxious, sharp or unhappy around people is not bred from here, whatever else is true about him, because a litter learns how to be a dog from its mother long before it learns anything from us.
